Your rights
Renting changed on 1 May 2026
- Tenancies run on a rolling basis, with no fixed end date
- You can end your tenancy with two months' notice in writing
- Rent can only go up once a year, with at least two months' notice on Form 4A
- You can ask to keep a pet, and the request must be considered
- Section 21 "no fault" evictions have ended
